My dear friend Emma never ceases to amaze me. Her latest series of paintings make me want to weep – they are beautiful and deeply personal. Having known her since we were teenagers and being familiar with her stories these paintings have so many layers to them. But they are also just purely beautiful all on their own. I feel so proud of her. Check the work out here.

Or should I say sculptor. Sydney florist Claire Rabbit (yes that is her real name) is an artist. I got flowers from Flourish – her store – when I was in Sydney. There’s a great interview with her on Natalie Walton’s Daily Imprint.
Sam Harris. My brother, my younger brother, is an amazingly skilled joiner (check out his work at Square Peg Woodworks). I am always blown away by Sam’s work and a recent project he did with Sydney architect Virginia Kerridge is no exception. It was a complete renovation of a house but it’s the library that I fell in love with. Amazing work…

Sydney architect Sam Crawford has recently completed two renovations. The one above in Newtown looks amazing. There’s another one in Haberfield…I’ve asked for more pics!
Perth artist Joanna Lamb is producing some really strong work. She shows at uber cool Sydney gallery Sullivan+Strumpf. I came across her work on Inside Outs revamped blog. They’ve done a really nice job – check it out here.
Alex Perry’s new rug design for Australian company Designer Rugs. He’s better know for his fashion label but I think these rugs are pretty cool…as are the black walls. I can’t wait til we aren’t renting anymore so I can try a black-walled room!
