This week I actually got out. This is a shot of the lunch they served at the press preview for LACMA’s California Design exhibition which is part of Pacific Standard Time. So much good stuff happening in LA right now.
So the lunch – chicken, bacon and guacamole – but hey, it was in a wrap. And it was also kind of small. Very French really.
I had such a great day earlier this week touring JF Chen‘s showroom as they were setting up for the “Collecting Eames” exhibition with Daniel Ostroff (his collection of over 150 pieces was bought by Chen who then added to it – substantially). I met Joel Chen and his daughter Bianca and also the designer of the exhibition, artist Clare Graham. Moments like these I do truly love living in Los Angeles. The show is a must-see. There’s over 450 pieces of Eames design. It reminded me just how extraordinary Ray and Charles were. And all those pieces? Every single one if for sale.

Loved this post over on Brainpickings on creativity and fear. I’m gearing up to dive into writing again and also working on the redirection of this blog. Looking for inspiration! I sit down at this computer every day and it feels good to think that just the habit of doing that…of committing to being right here could/will/must lead to something.
