We leave for Sydney soon. Been diving into The Design Files to get reacquainted with what’s going on. Lucy Feagins does such a nice job.
Ray Kappe’s Los Angeles home is covered in Dwell this month. Split level. Timber, concrete and white. Warm and modern. It’s perfect.
There’s something perfect about raspberries and full-cream milk. (Is it my imagination or are all things fat-free fading from the shelves right now?) There is nothing more delicious than creamy milk, granola and berries for breakfast. And still loving the ceramics we nabbed at IKEA. They are off-white – yes, we broke our all-white rule! They remind me of Heath Ceramics - which we will own one day. One day.
I’ve long been a fan of Design Milk. Jaime Derringer does an incredible job over there … and I am completely envious of the cool house she and her husband bought last year. Jaime’s launched a home office competition – send in pics of your cool work space and you’ve got a chance to win a very nicely designed laptop. Check out all the details here. I love that she’s using Pinterest for the judging process – very clever. I’m going to enter my home office…although I clearly need to take better pics.
Lunch. Simple. Prosciutto and tomato and parsley from the garden. #thisisadesignblog http://instagr.am/p/RjJcS/
Show of his photographs at Annandale Galleries. Wish I was in Sydney…it ends Dec 10 and we arrive a few days later.
