stay: rough love

I’ve just come across Rough Luxe. An intriguing collection of hotels, restaurants. shops and tours based around the idea of a new take on luxury. It is luxury as an enriching personal experience rather than an expensive object. I like that philosophy…a lot. The hotel pictured here, Vorstadt14, is in Switzerland and I love the look of it – the mix of slick and imperfect. Very compelling.

It’s just that we’re not really a hotel but more a “guesthouse” with only 1 suite and a private apartment we can rent out on very special occasions:

SOUL apartment at Vorstadt14 is the most charming and attractive example of the rough lux trend – and most authentic.
